posting meals while celebrating a holiday based on genocide while knowing there is genocide happening is especially sinister to me.

I feel like I’m going crazy when I see people still going to disneyland or still supporting genocidal celebrities and these are people who’ve voiced out their support for Palestine. Like huuhhhhhh???? Wild to see Americans have loose morals fr.

What is up with so much of tumblr and buying the “American soldiers in wars prior to the 1990s were just sad goofy guys who didn’t really want to be there” propaganda on basically all levels 😭 So much weird romanticizing that shit even while everyone is ostensibly very “death to America, a violent imperial power”. Who do you think was doing the violent imperialism?? People watch a couple tv shows and walk away thinking soldiers are just some dudes lmfao. You follow that line of thought long enough and eventually the phrase “just following orders” is gonna come out of your mouth & now look where we are!!

my patience is thin with people who like to walk the fence when talking about palestine but for one last time. what hamas did was brutal, yes. it was violent, yes. but most importantly it was inevitable. when you push people to such extremes, stripping them of their rights, their land, their dignity, their childhood, their dreams, their whole lives, they are bound to push back. if hamas didn’t do it (even though this lazer focus on hamas is also a skewed perception of what’s going on, other Palestinian resistance groups are also involved, including marxist/secularist groups) some other group would have, if they didn’t do it now, they would have done it later. this kind of violence from the occupied is an unavoidable response to a much greater, much more brutal form of violence done by the occupier. thus the blame for the lost lives of israelis should only be placed on the zionist occupation. if you cannot understand this, or do not accept it, i’m not willing to take anything you have to say about palestine or palestinians or hamas seriously.

majority of americans are so numb. I need you to realize how your day to day lives are tied into this. you’re working your ass off to barely make it month to month while the government spends YOUR money that YOU worked hard for to kill and oppress innocent people EVERYWHERE. not just Palestine but actively choosing to put a majority of your money to oppress people worldwide. this money can go towards infrastructure and sustaining the population but instead look where it goes into the pockets of the richest most evil motherfuckers in the world. y’all took individuality and took it waaaay out of proportion. the west truly doesn’t know community. it’s sad to see BIPOC americans be colonized in the mind still. I see it with Filipinos in the Philippines and in the diaspora all the time and to see so many other communities be the same is just sad.

Like this is really the reason why it’s so hard to mobilize here. No one wants to give up their comforts not realizing it could lead to somewhere better. Until y’all realize that 🤷🏽‍♀️. so pls decolonize your minds people. let’s get to the real fucking work.
